The hippies used to style their vintage dresses with groovy boots just like the deadstock ones our model is wearing. This dress is made of filet lace; a hand knotted grid of thread is made and then interwoven with the geometric design. This style of lace leant it's self to the art deco designs of the early 1920s from when this dress is from. The front and back of this dress are different and the straight cut of the 1920s would allow you to wear this dress either way. Another feature we love about filet lace is its strength. The strong cotton threads hold up well after all these years and we have a very wearable dress.
